The Bird's Nest Stadium, the National Stadium, is located in the south of the central area of Beijing Olympic Park, Chaoyang District, Beijing. It was the main stadium for the XXIX Olympic Games in 2008, covering an area of 21 hectares and seating about 91,000 spectators.

During the Games, the Bird's Nest Stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, athletics and football finals.
